What Ribbon equipment will be tested in 2026?

This year Ribbon will provide its new NPT 2507 for interoperability testing.
 
The NPT 2507 is a high-capacity, high-performance aggregation router, providing 7.2Tbit/s switching capacity in a 2RU fixed form factor. It is optimized to provide IP aggregation and transport for services ,applications, and architectures requiring a performance/cost optimized solution.
 
 
Ribbons IP rNOS, an industry proven NOS used by the NPT portfolio, will provide the software capabilities tested during interoperability testing.
 

Ribbon NPT 2507

The NPT 2507 offers an impressive 7.2Tbps switching capacity in a very compact 2RU fixed form factor. It is optimized for applications requiring high density port density, with support for 40x100GbE and 8x400G coherent interfaces. The hardware capabilities of the NPT 2507 are powered by Ribbon’s field-hardened, industry-proven IPWave rNOS. This robust and scalable operating system provides a comprehensive suite of features and capabilities; including a full range of routing protocols, rich QoS capabilities, a network slicing toolkit, and comprehensive carrier-grade service assurance and OAM functionalities.
