Your small business customers expect more than a phone

Small business owners are more stressed than ever before. They need anywhere access to business communications that a legacy phone on a desk can’t deliver, they need to enable employees to work remotely, and they need pragmatic payment models as their financial resources are being stretched to the breaking point.

Your “go-to” vendors like Panasonic and other traditional key system vendors are exiting or de-emphasizing their offers in this market because they simply can’t compete with modern cloud services that do more and don’t require up-front cash investments.

Ribbon can help as you begin migrating customers to cloud-based services like Teams, Zoom Phone, or similar UCaaS offers. Ribbon Session Border Controllers (SBCs) are Teams, Zoom, and BroadSoft/Cisco certified. They have built-in migration tools along with analog/digital FXO and FXS ports. Choose hardware, soft or cloud-based deployment models, or let Ribbon manage connectivity for you with our Ribbon Connect for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing services.

Ribbon Connect for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing

A cloud-based security and integration service that does all the heavy lifting with per month, per-user pricing.

Ribbon Connect for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing makes it easy to add dial tone to Teams. Users can make and receive business phone calls, turning Teams into the office phone system. Ribbon understands that VARs have enough on their plate, so we designed Ribbon Connect with intuitive web-based menus that make it easy to add Teams Calling to user profiles. Ribbon Connect can automatically make configuration updates in Teams, set-up Session Border Controller services, and even integrate with an existing IP-PBX or Cloud UC service.

The solution is delivered on a per-user (per seat) basis. Ribbon Connect is cost-effective for a handful of users and can easily accommodate 100 or 1,000 users. There are no long-term contacts or minimums to manage. Ribbon Connect can scale up to match increasing use, or scale down to manage a seasonal workforce or a change in business direction.

Ribbon Session Border Controllers (SBCs) secure the cloud and simplify migrations

Ribbon SBCs are the “glue” that connects all of a customer’s communications services to the cloud. We can help you blend the old stuff with the new stuff.

  • Security – Ribbon SBC acts as a voice-aware firewall, encrypting communications traffic to protect conversations and to prevent bad actors from entering the data network via the voice network
  • Interoperability – Not every SIP Trunking provider is identical, Ribbon’s SBCs can adjust key parameters to make set-up easy and trouble-free
  • Legacy Connectivity – Many organizations still have analog phones, elevator phones, door phones, and fax machines. Ribbon’s hardware-based SBCs have analog and digital ports (FXO/FXS) to keep these assets working for years to come
  • Migration - Often organizations want to slowly migrate to Teams, keeping their legacy PBX in place for weeks or even months or years. Ribbon SBCs can provide simultaneous ringing so that both Teams and the old PBX share connectivity.
  • Resiliency or Failover – Ribbon SBCs have multiple options to manage disruptions in service depending on the deployment model. These tools can keep your organization connected even if the unexpected happens.
